Inibii Technology provides energy management and sustainability intelligence to commercial building owners and institutional facility managers across North America.

The Core Technical Challenge

Commercial clients had meters and billing records fragmented across dozens of independent power boards, natural gas suppliers, and municipal water utilities. Ingesting and reconciling gigabytes of heterogeneous time-series telemetry each month required a scalable data architecture.

My Role & Architectural Approach

Role: Cloud Architect & Data Platform Engineer. Designed the AWS data ingestion pipelines, authentication infrastructure, and time-series data storage.

Constructed a secure, event-driven data lake on AWS. Established automated SFTP pipelines to ingest utility partner dumps, custom parsing microservices to validate and normalize heterogeneous CSV data, and serverless AWS Lambda triggers for event-based time-series ingestion into PostgreSQL.

Verified Results & Business Impact

• Architected scalable data lake processing tens of gigabytes of monthly utility telemetry seamlessly.
• Integrated room-level electrical sub-meters alongside municipal gas and water utility feeds.
• Implemented serverless event-driven processing via AWS Lambda to eliminate idle compute costs.
• Delivered a unified visualization backend enabling facility managers to uncover cost-saving energy optimizations.
